Buy Japanese peonies from Carrob Growers

Japanese Peony

Japanese or Imperial peonies are distinct and have a different style of elegance. Stout guard petals form a goblet around a central boss of petaloids. The colours possess clarity and vibrancy. All are June flowering and hardy.

Pruning and Care: Peonies are generally easy to grow given a fertile, adequately drained soil in an open sunny location although some will tolerate light shade. Given these basic requirements, peonies may well have a life span of up to fifty years. They are extremely hardy and suitable for growing in most areas preferring a neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Plant size is classified by the number of ‘eyes’ (buds). The smaller size (2-3 eyes) may take several years before flowering.
